Welding torch maintenance tip 

 

 

I.Contact tip

1.Length should be equal or shorter 2~3mm with the gas nozzle.

2.It should be replace when the inner hole wearing a lot;

3.It should be tighten properly.  

4.Ensure the wire projected length during welding.

 

II. Gas nozzle

1. Tighten when using, prevent gas leakage & length change. 

2. Clean welding splash in time with proper way, no striking;

3. Ensure the coaxiality with contact tip;  

 

III. Gas diffuser

Gas diffuser have to be used during weld work,and must be changed when broken.

 

IV. Torch body

1. Installation should be on position & fasten tight by proper tools. 

2. Insulate sleeve should be good without damage. 

 

V. Liner

1. Length should be fit for requirement

2. Clean/ dust remove in time by proper way, striking, rumpling, wire drawing etc. 

3. when wire feeding unstable caused by aging problem, replace it in time. 

 

VI. Weld torch

1. Connect correctly with wire feeder, and fasten tight by proper tools; 

2. Gas hole connector should be tighten gently by spanner. 

3. Curve radius should not be less than R300mm during welding. 

4. Forbidden to draw the wire feeder by weld torch. 

 

VII. Welding cable

1. all connection during the welding circuit should be secure

2. Ensure the cable square match up with the max welding current, steel,iron and so on substitute is not allowed. 

3. Prolonged cable should not be winding.  

 

VIII. Wire feeder

1. avoid strike during movement, not allowed to pull for movement. 

2. Except the wire reel shaft, lubrication grease should not be applied to other parts. 

 

IX. Gas supply system

1. Flow meter should be heated up when using CO2, meter should be vertical with horizontal level; 

2.  Gas flow rate adjusted as per welding current, normally between 15~25L/min;

3. Gas cylinder should be vertically fixed; 

4. Gas supply route should not be leakage.
